Career Meetings and Workshops at Johns Hopkins Feb 6th

Postby Dave Jensen » Sun Feb 02, 2014 2:31 pm

If you are at JHU, please check with your graduate student association link and make sure you attend the upcoming career development presentations on Thursday, February 6th.

The presentation at lunch will be a talk about all the things we discuss here on the forum. The difficult decisions that must be made while in graduate school, the choices between academia, industry and other options, the process of finding and landing job interviews. And lots more!

The workshop will be all about "Negotiation Skills for Scientists" and this one will give you some confidence to approach any situation knowing that a successful result can be negotiated, whether it is "who gets a first author listing" or whether it's a job offer discussion.

See you on Thursday!
