Postdocs needed for documentary on research life

Postby EPM » Fri Jul 25, 2014 1:52 pm

Hello all! I am making a documentary focusing on postdoctoral researchers and their lives. As I'm sure we all realise here, very few people outside of the academic world are familiar with how it works. This documentary is intended to be an honest view of the system, with a positive reflection on the postdocs themselves.

If you are interested, please email me (see contact page) and we can discuss options. I am based in Colorado and hope to film starting next month for about a year, and am willing to travel, but if you live or have a conference/trip to CO that's even better!

A little about me, I have a Ph.D in Astrophysics and graduated in 2012. Until April this year I was a postdoc with the LIGO collaboration conducting data analysis with gamma-ray bursts. I also have a background and training in film and am looking forward to sharing these stories!

Thank you for your time :)
