A question about an application

Postby K.T.C. » Tue May 26, 2015 2:02 pm

I was wondering whether a conference poster (I am a third author) would be weighted a lot in a phd application? I just applied for a phd position, then I saw my previous study were posted online, content of which is a bit relelvant to this phd project. is it necessary to inform the phd committee about this poster?

thank you so much for you advice.

If you're applying for a position as a PhD student in a graduate program, then listing your conference poster in your application would be a positive. It won't, by itself, turn a weak application into a strong one, but it will help show your interest in the field. Be sure to highlight your contribution to the study.
