Rich:

This is actually an important lesson for some of our readers! This is the equivalent of what happens when someone applies on the internet - except that it is the dreaded "cybershredder" that gets the resume.

Great post!

Rich,

How funny! It only demonstrates why networking is so important. Oddly, if one tries to point out the importance of networking on LinkedIn, one will only be vilified by recruiters saying that you don't respect the companies' recruiting process.

If I have significant experience, why do I need a generalist recruiter telling me what I am qualified for; it kind of insulting even though I don't tell them.

Anyone got a good comeback for these recruiters!
