Applying for a postdoc in America

Postby Libing Chu » Tue Nov 09, 2004 8:59 pm

I am Chinese. I have obtained my PhD in environmental engineering. My research focuses on the wastewater treatment and membrane bioreactor. I'm considering going for my postdoc in America due to the fact that the research level is in the lead worldwide. I need tips on what to do.
Thank you very much for the forum that offers a place to ask career questions.

Go to your library. And pick up journals that are related to your field. Find interesting articles and write to the principle investigator to ask him/her about postdoc possibility.

Also you are a PhD. I assume that your PhD advisor would have some connections.
