sick of interviewing - help!

Well, at some point, you have to make that choice, and you can't look back. It's kinda like making a choice among your graduate schools or family partners. (Honestly, no matter how secure a spouse is, don't bring up past boy/girlfriends even after you're married, right? :) )

I do think the other advantage of joining an "up-and-coming" program is that you have a better chance to help with guiding the program's vision and goals. Kinda like joining a start-up vs. a more established group.

That's one reason why I keep asking people interviewing me what they think _I_ would be doing with their group a year or two from when I accept a position. If they don't have aspirations for me, then I know they're not really interested in my role in their team or in keeping me as part of their team.
