New Users -- Critical Note on Getting Approved to Post

Postby Dave Jensen » Fri Jun 08, 2018 1:11 pm

Hello New Users of the SCIENCE Career Discussion Forum!

We have a spammer problem. We're literally barraged with new user applications, dozens a day, from those who wish to leave trash messages here and spam the system. In order to ferret them out of the process, we approve only those who follow our username recommendations.

Please, do not use usernames all pushed together, as in BillSmith, or those with numbers like BillSmith88 and so on. You can use any name, real or anonymous (but please don't use famous names like Abe Lincoln). Please use names as they would appear on the badge you'd be wearing in a conference. Would your badge say BillSmith88 or would it say Bill Smith? The latter is the way to register here, and you'll be approved immediately. Thank you for your help!
