Info on Medical Device Manufacturing

Postby Tim » Wed Aug 24, 2005 11:02 pm

I am interested in learning about jobs in the medical device manufacturing industry and in taking some courses on manufacturing in a regulated environment; does anyone know where I can get info on this area e.g. a web site? I am a PhD level biochemist with extensive experience in Computer Science (but no degree) who has postdoc experience in Cancer and HIV and worked in medical informatics; I am thinking of moving into this area but do not have a clue about how to go about doing so or even if it is a good move; is there a niche in med device R&D or manufacturing for someone like me? Any advice would be appreciated.
