I am currently finishing up my PhD on a project involving signalling cascades/cancer. I wish to persue a career in industry (either biotech or pharma). Unfortunately, I don\'t think what I\'ve done to date is all that appealing to industry recruiters. I realize the best thing may be to do a postdoc in industry, but if that does not pan out I will be doing an academic postdoc.

I\'ve heard nanotechnology is the new field destined to be big (in terms of government funding, industry jobs).

I\'d like to hear what the definition of this field is, and everyone\'s opoinions on how good it will look on your CV.
