Ph.D. abroad

Postby Siena » Wed Apr 19, 2006 3:37 pm

In referring to Tom's message about the overseas address, I have had similar thoughts. After being laid off from my position I decided to apply to graduate school in Europe to obtain a Ph.D. I was accepted and after a few months I decided that it might be more difficult when I graduate be not making the right contacts for here in the US. I also didn't receive an assistantship. I took the decision not to continue in the Ph.D. program there and hoped that I might of made the right decision.
