PhD in US or UK ? HELP!

Postby Amr Y. » Sat Nov 11, 2006 6:09 am

Hi all,

I am a 26 yers old graduate student and currently hold offers to conduct PhD in either US (University of Maryland) or the UK (Manchester University). I think they both have good rankings in their own countries, aint they?. Now, my question here is related to the industrial job market for mechanical engineering PhDs in both countries (could include europe generally too). How do you rate my possibilities of hunting a good job in industry in either places?

Would appreciate any comments or thoughts relevant to my question.
