Career Change Bio-Biz-Bio

I have four years of niche experience as a medical device systems engineer.

Two years ago I made a huge career switch to my current career in international business, again in a very niche area.

Currently I have no current way of properly merging my two experiences into one role (as a new position). The experiences are too different from each other and there is just no overlap. Although I would prefer further pursuing the international business avenue, my biology degree (and lack of business degree) is keeping me from going forward and I\'m not in a position where I can go back to school in the near future.

At this point, driven by my financial need, I am considering returning to what I was doing in medical devices.

My question is: Do I leave my current position off my resume? My medical device IT resume is very technical orientated and the business role just looks completely out of place.

Is it better to have the two-year work experience gap? Or should I downplay the resume real-estate of my current position to just a line or two?

It seems odd since I have been in my current position longer that I have been in any one of my previous positions.
