Ph.D. indecision

Postby C.V. » Wed Oct 17, 2007 8:07 pm

I\'m a student of a Master in Bio-systems sustainability, with specialization in Bioorganic Chemistry, about to finish my studies. During my Master, I got proficiency in techniques like GC-MS, TLC, SDE, and others for isolation-analysis of organic compounds. I\'m interested in doing a Ph.D. in astrobiology, doing research in chemical biomarkers, amino acid enantiomers or similar. Can I go directly to such a Ph.D., with the background I have? or is it better to take first a Master, like the one offered by the ISU?. Help please!
