Career Progression at a Good Liberal Arts Setting

Postby Ike » Sat May 31, 2008 2:47 pm

Hello Folks,

I have just been approved to take a one semester paid leave in spring 2009 after going through my third year pre-tenure review. After classes end in December I will be away from teaching till late August 2009. This will be a time to catch my breath, concentrate on research and write a few more papers.
This is supposed to strengthen my plans to apply for tenure and promotion in summer 2009.

In the right place, a career in a good liberal arts or 4-year college is not a bad option to look into. Best wishes to all those in the job market or about to get into the job market.
