May Physics Today on the economy and science

Postby Jack » Mon May 11, 2009 4:14 pm

The May issue of _Physics Today_ (pages 24-27) has items discussing the effect of the economy on academia and industry research. Pretty much what I expected, funding cuts, less hiring, more firing, less retirements due to retirement accounts being chopped down. Let's all keep chanting "dollar cost averaging"...

Cheers,
Russell
