Darrell,
I recently spoke to an HR manager at a big pharma company back in New Jersey. This fellow said that "BS and MS chemists are very hard for me to find." Personally, I have also seen no trouble for most young chemists who know how to network. Just get out there and start talking to people. Develop your networking skills. Remember that you may have to relocate from Florida if you wish to gain the most marketable experience. So, start to build some contacts in industry via networking and don't worry about the lack of experience. All the competition for those jobs are in the same position!
