Ph.D's in clinical research

Postby Diya Varma » Thu Dec 02, 2004 6:45 pm

I have a Ph.D. in molecular biology/cancer research with 4 years of Postdoc experience. I have been trying to get into clinical trials research, by contacting academic labs without much success.

Obviously I don't have the required experience, but is it ok to even ask if they are willing to take me on as a volunteer?

I am opposed to doing a second postdoc and definitely do not see any advantages to that.

Did you try for a post-doctoral fellowship? These positions are advertised on respective University's web page. Depending upon your area, you might even get board-certified after the fellowship and earn a lot better! Good luck!
