Software job in academia

Postby Serge » Wed Jun 20, 2007 7:25 am

I initially qualified as an MD, practiced medicine for a couple of years, coauthored 2 papers (the best part for me) and then got a Computer Science degree and have been in IT for 10 years (I am 39). I have always wanted a programming job in the biotech or bionformatics fields working on interesting problems. Is this unrealistic, will I do drudge work and will they ignore me because I don\'t have a Phd?

Also I am in Sydney, Australia
