Research direction

Postby Moses » Mon Jul 14, 2008 12:09 am

Dear Profs and friends,

I am considering apply for a K01 grant. However, I have some concerns about the research direction. I have been working and productive in the field of T cell tolerance and autoimmunity, but the proposal for K01 is somewhat different. It is about tumor immunology. Although many of the basic techniques are similar, I have no publication nor been listed as coauthor in this field. The experience in this field only comes from the preliminary experiments done in the past several months. Do you think this will be a significant problem for my application? My mentor, however, does have extensive experience and publications in the tumor study. Thank you for your response.

Best regards,
