Medical writing:writing courses-any financial support?

Postby A.B.S » Fri Nov 14, 2008 12:23 am

I am a student during my last year of PhD course and I feel that research at the bench is not a path for me (for the future). I am thinking about a transfer into medical writing.I know I am not the only one, and there were similar questions on this forum. However, my next step towards starting my writing career is to take an On-line Writing Course for Biomedical Professionals on Pennsylvania University. Do you know if (and where) I can get some financial support for this kind of course? I know that it is impossible from my University. Could you give me any advice? And later if it is better to take a general journalism course or apply for a writing internship, what is your opinion? Does anyone have some experience in doing writing internship? Thank you.
