Best city to start a career in the healthcare industry

Postby Spencer C. » Wed Jun 19, 2013 4:56 pm

Hello - I currently live in Atlanta and am seriously thinking of going to school in Radiology or Medical Laboratory Technology. It would probably be easier to search for employment here once I get my certification. However, I've been told by academic advisers here that positions are extremely competitive at the places where their students do externships. I was wondering if I might have a better chance in Florida, given the high number of senior citizens. My first choice would be Ft. Myers but I'd consider anywhere on the gulf coast.

Can anyone offer any advice?
