I just finished my PhD (in the US) and will start my postdoc soon (also in the US). Currently, I am looking at opportunities in New Zealand. I feel that the faculty positions there emphasize more on the teaching part. Is that correct? Also, how difficult is it for a foreigner to land an Academic job there after a postdoc stint somewhere else? Is it super competitive?
